I had a couple of contractors come out to give me a bid for a seismic retrofit. I chose Evergreen because Matt was very friendly, explained all the steps that would be taken and gave me a great bid. The job took a couple of weeks to complete and during that time, Matt and Phil were always on time. I'd look out my window and see that they usually came early and just waited in their trucks until the agreed upon start time. I'd rate their work as excellent. They obviously care about quality. They also kept everything covered while working inside and cleaned up the place better than I left it. The bid stated that after the work was complete, the affected areas would be "paint ready". I was pleasantly surprised that for the interior walls that had sheetrock was removed, sheer panels installed and then the sheetrock replaced, there was no painting (by me) required. The crew repainted the walls and ceilings, matching the existing paint. On the inside, I can't even tell that the retrofit was performed. And yes, it was done as I was home watching their progress. As for the exterior portions where the siding needed to be removed to anchor the walls to the foundation and install sheer panels, I will need to do some touch up work, as expected. During the onsite work, premises were kept neat and cleaned up each day, and the city building inspector approved the final work with no questions.
